The Depth Drone
I have spent a few weeks after the RAVEN fieldwork at Dreki to outfit one of my Tarot 680 hexacopters with a better landing gear arrangement (3 points instead of 2 Ts), and added the Intel RealSense D455 stereo depth camera on it to give a 3D image. Before winter comes, I am trying to fly this drone over the Stóra-Bollahraun lava field, which is South of Hafnarfjörður, to collect a bunch of data during the winter.
